For the price this is quite a sword!

*Pros
The fit and finish on the blade and handle are very nice and tight, the galvanized handle and faux gemstones add a nice fanciful touch as well. The runes in the fuller are pretty awesome. I am curious what they say. The grind on the edge is sharp enough to do some serious damage, they are not super sharp though with some decent meat behind them. Mainly because historically these swords often hit into chain mail, or other forms of light armor. They were also used edge to edge in combate so it is designed to help retain the edge, and give it a bit more bone braking weight. The blade feels nice in the hand and indexes well. The sheath is quite eye catching as well and contains a strap to secure the sword on your back.
*Cons
There are always a few cons, even with awesome products. To be fair I will include the ones I have observed. When shipped it was within the sheath, which on this type of sword, unless the sheath is shaved sheep wool leather lined inside, being in the sheath too long can cause some scrathes in the blade. So there are a few rub marks near the last third of the blade toward the tip. The only other real con I have is that the blade is stainless, rather than high carbon. I have heard stainless is not the ideal steele for swords. While incredibly hard, and corrosion resistant, it is known to be brittle. That being said I have also read that there are types of stainless that can still make an alright sword. After testing I will be able to say more about the strength of this beautiful blade, and its ability to hold an edge.

I will be doing some fun tests with this blade, and will update the review with a video after the testing is complete. I am posting this as a first impression review from the unboxing and handling phase. I can not wait to get out there and put this sword through some testing. I sincerely hope it doesn't brake. I have grown quite fond of how it looks on my desk.
