Gods, I know I’ve made a good purchase when I first open the package and I hear myself quietly mutter something like, “Oh fuck yeah.” Someone else said it’s a handful, and that a good word for it. I wanted to show others how it looks in an average sized hand. The scabbard is outstanding (leather and wood), the carved grip is outstanding (wood), and the blade itself if wide, thick, and sharp. I can tell it has a tang disappearing into the grip.
Is it a full tang? I can’t tell.
What I know is, this thing is beautiful and it is brutal. It’s absolutely my new favorite blade, and I own a *lot* of them.

This knife is a fine example of the Seax pattern with excellent fit and finish. The wood sheath on the blade is a unique and beautiful detail. I would like to know where the knife is made.

Realy nice seax! The sheath on the other hand is very loose and does not retain the knife, there's also glue smears where they glued the leather to wood sheath. Buy for the blade not the sheath.

This and the cutlery set are absolutely wonderful products and I am so happy I discovered this company and its products. Despite an extended delivery schedule, I am more than pleased.
My only gripe is that the sheath, both leather and wooden portions, is not reliable. The wood portion is wholly inadequate for holding the weapon in a majority of positions while the leather portion relies too much on its original grip, an inadequate mechanism for retention given leather's loosening over time. Luckily, if you, like me, don't actually need to carry it as intended or presented, the sheath becomes superfluous.
I will definitely keep this company and its products on my list for repeat purchase.
